Price is for a dozen hatching eggs from my Icelandic chickens. These birds are from the Sigrid/Steinar II import line, and have been very healthy and active birds in the almost 5 years I've had the line. They're known for being a great foraging breed, as well as for going broody and hatching or adopting chicks. I've used my broody girls to raise day-old chicks, and some have hatched chicken and even duck eggs. They're not super heavy layers, but I always get a lot of eggs in the spring, some over the summer, and if you have young birds, often you'll get a few fall and winter eggs.
