Vintage trapper snowshoes. These shoes are over fifty years old, but in very good shape and still have years of use left if taken care of. The bindings are leather with a quick-release buckle. They carry me in soft or packed snow, and I am 200 pounds. I know that aluminum snowshoes are lighter and the laces are waterproof, but there is something special and nostalgic about using man-made wooden snowshoes in the woods. These shoes have a history of Maine and Alaska in them
